If you're at a group of inexperienced no limit Texas hold em players, you can usually stack quite a few chips by picking out the player who acts as if he has a big hand, and bets over the top of everyone else. More often than not, this fish has absolutely nothing and is trying his best to buy a pot. He almost never succeeds. I wonder why people like this even play, because they ALWAYS lose if there is anyone that knows halfway what they're doing.

poker betting strategy Once you are in the money, your objective will be to take first place and the more chips you have, the easier it will be. Understanding how your opponents are playing is still a critical part of your strategy. You need to be careful with Calling Stations and Big Stacks. They are likely to give you action when you may not want it. By now you should know who is trying to squeak into the money. Take advantage of them and steal everything you can.

Value Bet: With the feeler bet, you are prodding for information. The feeler bet will always let you know where you stand in the hand. If you never bet, you will never know what your challengers are holding. It is for this purpose you use it to get a "feel" for the strength of your hand also the strength of your opponents hand.

"What does he have?" is what you should be thinking. You may draw this conclusion: if the opponent has an ace he has a weak ace, because he only checked after the initial raise before the flop. If he had an A-K or aztec fire slot A-Q he would have most definitely re-raised.

As for strategy for different types of games, one should not base their bet on the initial cards given in the Texas Hold'em Card game. This is the common mistakes done by a novice player. One should base their bet on the next three faced-up cards called the flop for these three cards would give one a bigger picture of its hand.

Often the answers to these questions will give you a better indication of whether or not you should call or not. It's better to just focus on winning money from worse/bad players than taking on better/more advanced players.
